The month of Ramadan is a blessed month for so many reasons. This is the month in which our holy book, the Quran, was revealed, our sins are forgiven and our good deeds are rewarded. It is a month where Muslims refrain from eating and drinking and indulging in excesses. It is a month of reflection; a time to slow down and contemplate the more human side of life. It’s a time for remembering others and engaging in charity, too.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of The Federation of Muslim Women, I wish all of you and your family the best during this Ramadan; that our fasts during this virtuous month improve our devotion, self-control and compassion for others, and that we embrace peace for the future.
